Accountability

Accountability includes:

• Workers understanding their rights and responsibilities, maintaining contact with WCB and their employer, and cooperating in medical recovery and returning to safe work.

• Employers providing safe workplaces, promptly reporting workplace accidents, and preventing future injuries by identifying and fixing issues that caused the injury.

• WCB and employers treating injured workers with respect and dignity

• WCB making fair decisions based upon the evidence and legislation

• WCB ensuring injured workers receive health care services which promote medical recovery and safe return to work
